Abstract
This paper examines the growing role of artificial intelligence as a creative agent in contemporary art. As machine learning, neural networks, and data-driven systems become increasingly integrated into artistic practice, traditional notions of authorship, creativity, and artistic agency are being redefined. Through an analysis of the work of Mario Klingemann, Refik Anadol, Sougwen Chung, and Trevor Paglen, this study explores how artists employ artificial intelligence to generate images, transform data into immersive experiences, collaborate with machines, and critique surveillance systems and algorithmic bias. While each artist approaches AI from a distinct perspective, their practices collectively demonstrate that creativity can emerge through interactions among humans, machines, data, and communities. The findings suggest that artificial intelligence functions not merely as a technical tool but as an active participant in the artistic process, challenging assumptions about human originality and creative control. Ultimately, this research argues that AI art provides a critical framework for understanding the cultural, ethical, and aesthetic implications of emerging technologies and highlights the evolving relationship between human and machine creativity in the twenty-first century
